And finally, the mobile double gives you two wearable devices for almost the same price as a single unit, making it a good value for money.
Check with One Call Alert before you purchase a unit. Because, as mentioned previously, not all systems include every feature mentioned (like the in-home landline system lacks the fall detection option).
One Call Alert has the simplest installation process you could imagine. All you have to do is plug in the device, and you’re done. Let’s walk through the process for clarity’s sake:

2.Plug the base station cord into an outlet in a central location around your home. It’s a good idea to keep the base station on a flat surface that’s clean and away from water.
The only additional step you’ll need to take is if you are using the in-home landline system. If this is the case, you’ll also need to connect it to your phone line. It is worth noting that the in-home landline system does not have the automatic fall detection option or medication reminders.

One Call Alert has reasonable pricing, but it’s not the cheapest brand on the market. If budget is your sole concern, you should shop around for a better deal. But One Call Alert does have a lot to offer, even in terms of value. For one thing, the equipment is free when you sign up for a monitoring plan (note that you’ll need to return your devices if you ever stop your monitoring plan).
And what’s really impressive about One Call Alert’s pricing is that you get an extra wearable device for free. That means two wearers can be included in a single monitoring plan. That’s a very cost-friendly feature. Fall detection isn’t included in the price, bummer. But it’s only another $10 per month. This feature is well worth spending the money on. But the added cost needs to be noted when doing your comparison shopping.
The one thing we really don’t like about One Call Alert’s pricing is that it is not locked in. According to the terms and conditions, One Call Alert has the right to change the price of your subscription at any time. You’re allowed to cancel at any point as well, so at least you wouldn’t be tied into the new price. But that’s not something you generally want to be dealing with.
There is a workaround for this problem though. One Call Alert has a Connect Premium account for an additional $5 a month (we know). With this plan, you get a lifetime price guarantee. So that’s a lot better, knowing your monitoring fees will never change. Connect Premium also includes equipment protection and a discount on some of the services.
One Call Alert has phone and email customer support. There is also a live chat option, but One Call Alert does not mention its support hours directly on the website. What’s more, there is very little information to be found on the site, not even an FAQ section. One Call Alert would do well to beef up its website a bit.
One Call Alert is not the most affordable medical alert system out there, especially when you start adding on all the extras like fall detection and Connect Premium features. However, it isn’t the most expensive plan out there either. If you’re looking for a good middle of the road option with flexible subscription options, no hidden charges, and quality devices, One Call Alert is a good contender. We like that there’s an extra pendant thrown in, the in-home range is great, and the devices are all waterproof. With its 30-day risk-free trial, One Call Alert is certainly worth taking for a test drive.
